DMCA Policy
cutle.org respects intellectual-property rights. This policy explains how to report material on Cutle that you believe infringes copyright and how to submit a counter-notification. It is intended to support good-faith copyright reporting and is not legal advice.
Copyright infringement notification
Submit a copyright notice through the Cutle contact form.
Your notice must include:
-
Your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
-
Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If the notice covers multiple works, provide a representative list.
-
Identification of the allegedly infringing material and enough information for us to locate it, including the exact Cutle URL where possible.
-
Your name and contact information, including an email address.
-
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
-
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
Incomplete notices may delay our response. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a copyright notice may expose you to liability.
Counter-notification
If material you provided was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe that happened through mistake or misidentification, submit a counter-notification through the Cutle contact form.
Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal.
- Your name, contact information, and a valid email address.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction and service-of-process requirements that apply under relevant law.
We may send a valid counter-notification to the original complainant and may restore the material when permitted by law.
Review and repeat infringement
We may remove or restrict access to material while reviewing a notice. Where appropriate, we may also restrict access by parties who repeatedly infringe copyright. We reserve the right to reject notices that are fraudulent, abusive, incomplete, or unrelated to material on Cutle.
Good-faith submissions
Before filing a notice, consider whether the disputed use may be authorized, licensed, in the public domain, or permitted by an exception such as fair use. If you are unsure about your rights or obligations, consult a qualified legal professional.
